You Can Finish God’s Work

There are few things as satisfying as finishing what you started.  I love design work. So I began a project to update to my blog to an improved website for the ministry work God has given me. After months of careful research, I bought a slick, premium website theme and dove in, eager to learn the ropes and put it together. Well . . . that was over a year ago. I got about a quarter of the way through the process and got distracted, time-crunched, or task-logged — I don’t know which, perhaps all three — and today my “new website” is floating in cyberspace with a “Coming Soon” banner pasted on the unfinished front page . . . How Effective Is Your Leadership?

What effect does your leadership have on those you lead? Does it inspire confidence and trust in your leadership? Does it empower others and mobilize clear action? Or does it create uncertainty and confusion? Fear and suspicion? For several years I have been asking God to make me a stronger leader. I’ve read books, attended workshops, and spent hours in prayerful reflection so I would be prepared for God’s use. Wake up Call

I just returned from Mount Hermon Writers’ Conference energized after a hard re-set with my writing. It was a wake up call to re-engage my heart. It was a chance to accept God’s invitation to dig deep and reignite my passion for writing words that paint a portrait of our great God. During  the conference, God provided a chance for me to look into His face and find the deeper, truer meaning for my life.
