Psalm 31:20 “In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues.” God’s presence provides a shelter that the enemy’s lies cannot penetrate.
Luke 2:8-9 “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them…” “An angel of the Lord appeared to them…” abruptly, without warning. Have you ever noticed that God has a way of showing up and speaking when we least expect it? We may try to position ourselves to receive “a message from God” through extended times of prayer, fasting and other religious venues, but I’ve found that God rarely stands on ceremony and then, never at our command.
